What Do I Need To Do Before Buying a Lift?

There are a few things to know before you purchase a lift. Garage height, lifting capacity, garage width, if you are bolting the
lift to the ground or keeping it mobile, why color might make a difference, etc. These are all questions our team can help
get you an answer for, but here are some pointers from us to keep in mind!

Garage Height / Width

-The height needed for a lift to fit in your garage depends on the height of the two vehicles.

-Measure your garage height from the very top, to the very bottom at both front and back of the garage (most garages have a bit of a slope)

-When measuring, make sure you take into account your garage door in it's open position.

-A few inches of extra "cushion" space never hurts to consider.

Lift Type and Color

-The lift you purchase is determined by what vehicle is going on the lift.

-4 post lifts are ideal for storage, detailing, and basic maintenance of your vehicle. A 2 post is ideal for more intense mechanical repairs.

-Pick a color that matches your garage's atmosphere. LiftKing lifts are available in Black, Grey, Blue and Red.

-All lifts have a gloss finish, so you can add stickers, wraps, or decals to make them your own.
Should I Bolt My Lift to the Ground?

-All Lift King 4 post lifts can be left free standing, but they do come with the hardware needed to anchor them to the ground.

-Pro King 8, XXL, and Pro King 9 all come with castors in the event you want to move your lift around, something to consider when anchoring.

-2 post and Single post lifts should be bolted to the ground. A certain thickness of concrete is required. Please inquire for more information

-NOTE: It is your responsibility to check the thickness of the concrete
How Do I Power My Lift?

-Our 4 post lifts run off of either 110 volt or 220 volt. You must decide before ordering which option you want.

-A 20amp outlet is recommended.  A 15amp outlet will work.

-It is not recommended to have multiple items plugged into the same circuit.

-NOTE: It is your responsibility to call your electrician and have this set up prior to installation.
If you need help with answering any of these questions, or have some questions yourself,
please email, text, or call us! We are happy to serve you and make sure you are happy
and confident with the lift you purchase!
